The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has released a logistics plan for guests attending the investiture of Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, FNSE, as the 35th President, scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026.
To ensure a seamless experience at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, the Society has implemented a “Secretariat-First” movement policy and a dual-venue broadcast system.
All guests who successfully registered via the online Google form must adhere to the following timeline at the NSE National Headquarters:
- 07:00 AM: Commencement of screening, accreditation, and assembly.
- 08:00 AM: Dedicated shuttle departure for Past Presidents and VIPs.
- 09:30 AM: Strict Cut-off Time. Due to Villa security protocols, screening for transportation to the Banquet Hall will close promptly at 9:30 am.
Post-Event: Accredited guests will be conveyed back to the NSE Secretariat immediately following the ceremony.
In a move to accommodate all members, the NSE is utilizing a live electronic transmission system:
- The Banquet Hall (Aso Villa): Reserved for pre-accredited guests and VIPs.
- Main Auditorium (NSE Hdqters): All guests who arrive after the 9:30 am shuttle window or who did not complete the pre-registration form will be hosted at the National Headquarters. These attendees will participate in the full ceremony via a high-definition live stream and will be provided with general entertainment.

Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, a Civil Engineer and former President of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), officially assumed office on January 1st. He is taking over from Eengr Margaret Oguntala who had successfully completed here tenure.
The event is expected to be graced by top government officials, industry leaders, and members of the diplomatic corps, underscoring the vital role of engineers in Nigeria’s infrastructure and economic landscape.
