Trade Test Certificate in Nigeria is very important skill marker while searching for some job opportunities. The Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity is the only state body that is authorized to issue a certificate of competence (Trade Test Certificates) to artisans who have confirmed the qualification level of their working skills.
Today we are going to discuss the main peculiarities of the Certificate and see what trades are already approved for it.
What is Trade Test Certificate?
Trade testing is a specific process of qualified assessment of the level of skills in various professions and specialties. The issuance of the Trade Test Certificate in Nigeria takes place after the determination of the skill level of an artisan and the confirmation of his/her qualification for the required specialty. Trade Test Certificate can be 1, 2 and 3-rd class.
Where to get Trade Test Certificate?
The Federal Ministry of Labor and Productivity organizes trade testing seminars to determine the level of skills of both employed and temporarily unemployed tradesmen and students of various technical specialties.
The testing process is aimed at determining the level of professionalism in 46 working professions. The testing takes place under the strict guidance of certified personnel. By itself, the Trade Test Certificate is designed to provide tradesmen with a unique opportunity to get job jobs in selected companies.
The Trade Test Service also conducts a qualified assessment of the labor level of various craft trades, which in this way want to provide themselves an access to higher-paying positions. Also, such tradesmen often work for themselves and are small scale private business owners. Each of the artisan who received one of the Certificate classes and confirmed the level of qualification is a priority when hiring. In this case, the employer can be entirely sure that the skill of the worker corresponds to that specified in the Trade Test Certificate.
Every year, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Productivity tries to improve both the test scores themselves and the procedures for obtaining the certificate. All these attempts are aimed at making the document an exemplary indicator in the society. Also, the list of specialties for which the Trade Test Certificate can be issued is annually updated.
