Nigerian Universities Engineering Students’ Association (NUESA) Annual National Technical Conference and Exhibition “#NTCELAUTECH” which held at the Great Hall, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso Oyo State Nigeria between the 5th-9th of April. 2021.
Talking about chronicles of conferences with an Imprint on the national space in a fast paced year such as “2021”. Several conferences might race through your mind. It might be online or physical but here is a conference that has etched its imprint in the forlkores of the Engineering space on the national scene.
That is the National technical conference which held at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho Oyo State spearheaded by Dauda Monsuru Olatunji, (NMIS)
The Conference started with the arrival of guest and members of the Association on Monday 5th of April, 2021 followed by registration of participants. The year’s theme focuses on the topic “Leapfrogging Engineering Education and Practices Through an All-inclusive Sustainable Pathway”.
The conference enjoyed the participation of high-profile and astute engineers, industry big players, dignitaries, Commissioners and Honorable Miniters across different parastatals, academias amongst others.
The event was chaired and chief hosted by Engr. Babagana Muhammed, FNSE, (NSE President) and Prof Michael Ologunde (Vice Chancellor LAUTECH Ogbomoso) respectively who amongst other seasoned Engineers shared knowledge and also their spared quality time to mentor young engineer on their career paths and how too remain sustainable in it.
This was then followed by the National President of the Association, Dauda Monsuru Olatunji, a first class male student of chemical engineering lautech giving a speech where he addressed young engineers and also stirred them to be innovative and to always keep searching for relevant knowledge and new discoveries as this will keep them on top of their career. He also listed the achievements of the association within a year and the reason why the association was awarded the s “Primus Interpares” of all other student body in Nigeria by the Governor of Nasarawa state.
As part of the programme, a mind blowing lectures was given by the invited lecturers Engr. Prof. Age Abdulkareem (Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin), Engr. Kazeem Sulaiman (Senior Manager, Region Support & Network Assurance at Airtel Nigeria), Engr. Prof. Abiodun Musa Aibinu (Head of Mechatronics Engineering Department, FUTMinna. and Engr. Dr. Abass Alade (Department of Chemical Engineering) respectively. They all already had such profound influence on our career. The lecture was facilitated and moderated by two great moderator Adeolu Timothy, a graduate of electrical electronics engineering, LAUTECH and also Adebayo Jeremiah, a 500 level of student of chemical engineering, LAUTECH.
As part of the program, design competition, technical paper presentation and engineering bowl Competition was done.

The event ended with vice chancellor cork tail, dinner and award night which took place on the 8th of April, 2021. The event ended with Annual General Meeting which last for over 8hrs ( 07:30pm – 04:00am).
Testimonies of the impact, practical knowledge that has been gained by students from institutions across the coountry in attendance cannot be overtalked. Appreciation by attendees who graced the event still floods in and echoes on. Bringing the engineering students of the Nigerian institution to an applause of the conference impact.
