They own over a hundred leading brands in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Agricultural Inputs, Industrial Chemicals, Homecare Products and Pharmaceuticals.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Objective / Purpose of Job

To maintain vendor relationships between businesses and suppliers, negotiate best prices and materials, create and implement best practices, and find the best available vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers
  2. Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements
  3. Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers
  4. Monitor and control and further update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing
  5. Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production
  6. Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favourable to the company
  7. Attend CFT meetings with the legal team, engineering team, vendors and suppliers
  8. Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  9. Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
  10. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  11. Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
  12. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  13. Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
  14. Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  15. Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  16. Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
  17. Preparing procurement reports.

Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  1. Internally Relates with Marketing / Finance
  2. Externally Relates with Suppliers

Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

  1. A Degree (Preferably Engr. or packaging background)
  2. Minimum of Ten (10) Years experience in Procurement of RM/PM & NON BOM material, Expert in inventory management, Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (Navision)

Salary
N400,000 monthly.
