The three winners of the Inaugural Felicia Agubata Scholarship for Girls organised by Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter under the leadership of Engr Mary Afolayan have received their prizes.
The prize presentation held in Lagos, was a conclusive follow up to the Competition organised by the Association on May 27 as part of the 2021 Children Day Celebration. Named Felicia Agubata Science Competition and Scholarship Scheme, the event featured both public lecture and quiz competitions among the invited schools.
At the end of the competition, three winners emerged. 1st Position went to Oloyede Taiwo of Agbado Ijaye Primary Schools, while Aeez Sidiat of Iju Station School and Adedeji Taiwo of New Oko Oba Primary school came second and third respectively.
At the Award presentation of the first disbursement, which held at Vetland Grammar Primary School, Agege, the winners received N690, 000, Education/Trust Scholarship Fund.
In attendance were, Chapter Chairman, Engr Mary Afolayan, Immediate past President of APWEN, Engr Dr. Felicia Agubata, Financial Secretary, Engr Atinuke Owolabi, General Secretary, Engr Faith Oko Ukoni and Assistant general Secretary, Engr Oluwasina Adebayo.
