The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has announced the winners of the annual Group Dynamics Competition on Thursday with the Maitama Branch clinching the coveted 1st Position among its over 90 Branches nationwide.
The competition, a celebrated part of the annual NSE event held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, grades branches on various criteria, including professional activities, membership growth, organizational efficiency, financial management, community contributions and more.
For Branch, The first position goes to Maitama Branch while Benin Branch secured a commendable 2nd position, demonstrating strong organizational capacity and engagement in engineering development; the Lagos Branch proved its mettle by rounding up the top three in 3rd position.
For Division categories, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, took first position. While Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Nigerian Institutions of Civil Engineers take second and third positions respectively.
The competition motivates branches to deepen their impact on the government, promote positive media reporting, and enhance support for the NSE’s national programs.
The NSE International Conference, which runs from December 1st to 5th, 2025, continues with technical sessions and exhibitions focused on the Blue Economy, bringing together over 10,000 delegates to chart a course for Nigeria’s technological advancement.
