AUDA-NEPAD has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the MOMAS TVET Center for Electro-Technology’s new training complex in Ogun State—a significant step toward equipping Nigeria’s youth with employable technical skills.
The event, led by Engr. (Dr.) Kola Balogun, Chairman/CEO of MOMAS Group, celebrated progress on the “Upscaling of MOMAS TVET Centre for Electro-technical Skills Training” project—an initiative under SIFA Funding Window 1, implemented in partnership with AUDA-NEPAD.
Aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and supported by BMZ and the European Union, this two-floor complex represents a unique private sector-driven effort to close Nigeria’s critical power sector skills gap. Featuring modern classrooms, workshops, laboratories, and hostels, the center will set a benchmark for practical skills development and create a pipeline of world-class engineers, technicians, and artisans in electricity metering, solar PV, electrical wiring, and Meter Asset Provision.
