The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has officially released its Approved engineering personnel List for April 2026, registering new engineering professionals across different cadet of engineering. this is accordance with the Engineers (Registration, ETC) (Amendment) Act No. 3 of 2018.

What is Next Step After Approval?
or all newly approved candidates, the final phase of registration is to formalize their status and obtain their license to practice. Successful practitioners must follow these mandatory steps:
Step 1 — Log Into Your Portal
All newly approved engineering practitioners and firms are required to log into their portal, declare and accept the terms and conditions to enable them to pay their full registration fee.
Step 2 — Payment of Fees
Candidates must settle all remaining statutory fees, including the final registration fee and the Annual Practicing Fee. Registered Engineers must also pay for their unique Official Seal and Stamp.
Payment amounts are as follows:
Individual Practitioners:
- Engineers — ₦68,000
- Engineering Technologists — ₦35,000
- Engineering Technicians — ₦22,000
- Engineering Craftsmen — ₦13,000
Corporate/Firms:
- Sole Ownership Firm — ₦100,000
- Partnership Firm — ₦150,000
- Limited Liability Firm — ₦250,000
- Corporate Ownership — ₦500,000
Expatriates (Provisional Registration):
- $5,000
Step 3 — Collection of Practice Documents
On successful payment, practitioners will receive an email directing them on how to log in as practitioners to download and print their notification letter/valid license containing their COREN Registration Number. Engineers will also receive their Official Seal and Stamp, which is legally required to authenticate all professional engineering drawings and reports.
Step 4 — Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
The title of a registered professional comes with the continuous obligation to engage in CPD to ensure skills remain current and relevant throughout their careers.
Successful persons should note: their name cannot be entered into the Register and you cannot practise as an Engineering Practitioner or Consulting Firm unless you fulfil the above conditions within 90 days of the date of receiving your letter. If not, you would need to start the process of registration all over again.
All payments must be made exclusively through COREN’s official portal at www.coren.gov.ng. Do not pay anyone any money aside from the COREN official website.
