Profile of ENGR. OLADIPUPO ISIAKA MABOGAJE, a.k.a Jagaban of Engineering

Engr. Mabogaje, Oladipupo lsiaka, popularly called Jagaban of Engineering is second born of the family of Alhaji (Late) Lamidi Akanbi MABOGAJE & Alhaja Taiye Aminat MABOGAJE. Both parents held from Ijebu-Ode, LGA of Ogun State and Ilorin West LGA of (Idi-Ape Compound), Kwara State respectively.

He had his Primary School from Saint’s Peter Primary School in early 80’s and further to Secondary education at Ewutitun Grammar School, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos and was among the graduating class of 1989.

He proceeded to University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, where he graduated with B.Sc (Hons) Mechanical Engineering in 1999 and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Industrial and Production Engineering in 2004 at the same University. He also hold master of Business Administration, MBA, from Nasarawa University, Keffi, Nasarawa State. He is currently undertaking hos M.Phil/Ph.D, Business Administration in this same university. He also hold  Advanced Mgt. Certificate in industrial Safety, Planning & Control from Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka, Lagos.

Mabogaje began his career as Youth Corps members in Abia State when he worked with  Austin & Dyke Construction Nig. Ltd., along Folk Road, Ariara Market, Aba, Abia State between 1st March, 1999 and  29th Feb., 2000.

Mabogaje joined the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN on June 1^st 2010.. before his promotion, he was State Head at  COREN Abakaliki Office where he brought his leadership acumen yo bear as he recorded success and brought effiency into management of the State office. He also worked in Head office, COREN Abuja. During his service at head office Abuja,  he was, among others,  Adviser to MGT staff on Capital & Recurrent Projects, Secretary of PPC & Tender Board Committees & Chairman of Technical & Financial Evaluation Committee. Registrar special AD-HOC committee for the collation of 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2021 PROCMT  Docs for BPP consultant.

Before joining COREN, he worked in many capacities but one of the most prominent experiences was as a Maintenance Officer at the Nigerian Society of Engineers National Secretariat between January 2007 – May, 2010.

Between Agust 2003 and August 2006, he worked with IHS Nigeria Ltd, where he was involved in GSM Engineer, Planning/Cost Engineer (Telecommunication Infrastructural build, Management &     Infrastructural lease & Collocation, Design/Construction of Electrical Power Plant, Transmission & Distribution of HV/LV Overhead lines systems). Between march 2000 and July 2002, he was field Engineer at Boston Nigeria Limited lagos.

A COREN registered Mechanical Engineer and a member of the following professional bodies; Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) 17th October, 2019, Fellow of Institute of Global Facilities Management (FIFM), 2014, Fellow of Nigerian Associations of Engineering Craftsmen (FNAEC), 2019, Member of Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), 2008, Member of Nigerian Institution of Electrical / Electronics Engineers (NIEEE), 2009, Associate Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (AFCIA), 2010, Conversion to the Procurement Cadre by Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), 2011, Member of Nigerian Institution of Environment Engineers (NIEE), 2015, Member of Nigerian Institution of Facilities Engineering & Management Division (NIFEngM), 2015, Member of Nigerian Institution of Procurement Engineers Division (NIProcE), 2017.

Engr O. I. Mabogaje has served in various capacities in Committees of NSE National Secretariat, Committees of the Branch and Divisions, Bureau of Public Procurements as an Observer, and Developed Procurement CPD paper with Engr. Prof. James Akanmu, FNSE for the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Workshop for the Great Society since 2015 (Mentoring many Engineers on Procurement procedure and facilities Management over 6 years ago).

At national Level, he served the country in many capacities. Among which are:  Member of Concrete Specifications, Applications and Cement Standards – the Cement Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (CMAN) – .(April-2013); Member of National Project Committee of   Welding Status Survey and Policy Drafting (March-2021);

Mabogaje has attended over forty conferences across engineering fields and above fifty
workshops/training as at 2021 calendar year.
