The Covid-19 Pandemic have posed a global treat to livelihood thereby frustrating economic and social activities which led to the partial or total lockdown of economic activities and the ban on social/religious gatherings as well as the restrictions on movement of persons.

With the recent relaxation of the restrictions and bans, it have become necessary to keep our organizations/people safe by providing disinfection equipment especially at the entrance of the organizations/facilities in other to decontaminate all persons coming into our facilities as recommended by the government and other relevant authorities.

It is this challenge that a young Nigeria engineer, Yange Henry and his team have taken on to address by building Disinfecting Tunnel which is capable of being used in offices, homes and at event venues.

The Disinfecting Tunnel (DT) is a rectangular passage designed to spray body-friendly disinfectant to all persons accessing your facility at the major entrance/exit. The tunnel is installed at the major entrance/exit of the organization or venue thereby ensuring that no one enters your facility without being disinfected.

Added advantage of the Disinfection Tunnel is that it is solar powered and equipped with a motion sensor switch, hand-dryer and misting nozzles. The misting nozzles spray the disinfectant in the form of mist to decontaminate the entire body within seconds after which the occupant will dry his/her hands with warm air from the dryer as the dryer will increase the chance of killing any virus immediately while ensuring that your hands remind dry. The motion sensor switch automatically turns on/off the spray unit of the tunnel on entrance for seconds. Without supervision, you can use this tunnel to ensure that all persons entering your facilities are disinfected accordingly.

The disinfectant used with this tunnel is considered safe as it has no skin irritation or clothes decaying effects.
