industry 4.0: NIMecchE Sets Prepare young engineers for the future of Works in the industry

The Fourth Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0, is the ongoing transformation of traditional manufacturing and industrial practices combined with the latest smart technology. This primarily focuses on the use of large-scale machine to machine communication (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) deployments to provide increased automation, improved communication and self-monitoring, as well as smart machines that can analyze and diagnose issues without the need for human intervention.

Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, under the leadership of Engr Prof. Mohammad Baba Ndaliman, recognizing this have set out to organise programme for the Students and graduates members under the aegis of NIMechE-NSF as art of the efforts to prepare the younger mechanical engineers for the task ahead.

Tagged “Industry 4.0, the Future of work”, the will be holding for two days between July 11 and 12 via zoom video conferencing platform at have lined up two respected experts in the industry to share knowledge with the budding engineers. The are Engr Prof. Mohammed Dauda, Former MD/CEO of Advanced manufacturing Technology Programme, Jalingo and Engr Gbenga Karimu, a Researcher at MOEK Robotics Enugu.
