Nigerian Communications Satellite (NigComSat) has signed an agreement with Federal University of Technology (FUT) in Minna to ensure that all technological products are duly registered in Nigeria and at the international level before they reach the market, following several breakthroughs the country has achieved. NigComSat CEO Abimbola Alale said the collaboration aims to ensure that the two government agencies reach out to customers with their products.

Alale said that all innovations should be registered through the relevant regulatory bodies, so that the country can claim ownership of such products and make money from them. She noted that FUT Minna has distinguished itself in research innovations, having won many grants and recognitions at the global and national levels.
