The Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE) is pleased to announce the election of eleven eminent engineers into its prestigious Fellowship. The decision was officially ratified by the Council during its meeting held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Admission into the Academy represents one of the highest professional honors accorded to a Nigerian engineer. The newly elected Fellows have been recognized for their outstanding contributions, leadership, and technical excellence within the engineering profession and their impact on national development.

The Honorary Executive Secretary of the Academy, Engr. (Mrs.) C. O. Adelowo, FAEng, while congratulating the new fellows noted that “Their induction is a testament to their lifelong commitment to the advancement of engineering science and practice in Nigeria and beyond.”
The Nigerian Academy of Engineering serves as a think-tank for engineering policies and a platform for seasoned professionals to contribute to the nation’s technological advancement. Details regarding the formal induction ceremony will be communicated in due course.
The Nigerian Academy of Engineering is a non-profit, non-partisan organization comprising the country’s most distinguished engineering professionals. The Academy aims to provide leadership in the development of excellence in engineering and to provide expert advice to the government and industry on matters of national importance.
Engr. Adebajo is a Registered and Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer with over four decades of professional practice, distinguished by technical excellence, ethical leadership, and service to the engineering profession in Nigeria and beyond.
He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ove Arup & Partners Nigeria Limited, a firm he has served since 1987 and which is part of the globally respected Arup practice.
He attended International School Ibadan and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Technology) degree from the University of Wales in 1982. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Structural Steelwork from the University of London, as well as a Diploma of Imperial College (DIC) in 1986.
Engr. Aramide M. Adeyoye is a distinguished Civil Engineer and public servant whose career began with historic academic success. Born and raised in Lagos, she emerged as the best overall female candidate in Nigeria for the 1982 JAMB examinations. She earned her degree at the University of Lagos as a Chevron scholar and later enhanced her leadership credentials with an MBA from the Lagos Business School. Her early career was marked by a 32-year tenure at Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, where she rose to become a Project Coordinator and paved the way for future generations of female engineers in the construction industry.
A veteran of large-scale urban development, Engr. Adeyoye has been instrumental in the design and execution of many of Lagos’ most vital landmarks. Her portfolio includes the Third Mainland Bridge, the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, and the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. Her extensive field expertise led to her appointment as the Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu from 2019 to 2023, where she spearheaded the “Smart City” infrastructure agenda and managed critical projects like the New Massey Street Children’s Hospital and various strategic link roads.
Currently, Engr. Adeyoye holds a significant leadership position as the Chairperson of the COREN Lagos State Technical Committee. In this role, she acts as a key representative for the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, overseeing professional standards, technical excellence, and the induction of new practitioners into the field. A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a mother of two, she continues to balance high-level regulatory leadership and STEM advocacy with her commitment to her family and her roots in Epe.
