NSE Releases Provisional Candidate List for 2025 Elections

As the 2025 International Conference amd Annual General Meetings of the Society approaches, the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has officially released the Provisional List of Cleared Candidates for its upcoming 2025 National Elections.

The list details the engineering professionals who have been cleared to contest for various positions within the society’s leadership.

The list was signed off by the Chairman of the 2025 Election Committee, Engr. Kashim A. Ali,

Below is the categorization of the cleared candidates by the position they are vying for and their respective regions.

1. Deputy President Candidates
The race for Deputy President is notably contested entirely by candidates from the South South region. The cleared candidates are:

  1. Engr. Valerie Ifueko AGBERAGBA, FNSE (South South)
  2. Engr. Bemigho OFOEYENO, FNSE (South South)
  3. Engr. Goodluck Tony Akpomemine OHWODO, FNSE (South South)

2. Vice President Candidates
A total of nine candidates have been cleared to run for Vice President, representing a diverse spread of geopolitical zones:

  1. Engr. Chuhwak Tanko JANG, FNSE (North Central)
  2. Engr. Ahmed MUSTAPHA, FNSE (North Central)
  3. Engr. Rachel Serumun UGYE, FNSE (North Central)
  4. Engr. Usman TIJJANI, FNSE (North East)
  5. Engr. Aliyu Dutsinma IBRAHIM, FNSE (North West)
  6. Engr. Ugochukwu Paschal NZURUMIKE, FNSE (South East)
  7. Engr. Benjamin Osita OKOH, FNSE (South East)
  8. Engr. Dr. Dauda Aluyah OKODUGHA, Ph.D, FNSE (South South)
  9. Engr. Halimat Sope C. ADEDIRAN, FNSE (South West)

3. Executive Committee Candidates
The Executive Committee positions have attracted eleven cleared candidates from across the country:
