Engr Chukwudi Emmanuel Chiketa has been appointed to head Anambra State Fire Service following the elevation of the erstwhile Fire Chief in the State, Engr. Martin Agbili, to the position of Permanent Secretary by Governor Charles Soludo. .
During the handover, the immediate past Fire Chief, Engr. Agbili expressed optimism that Engr Cheketa would perform much better than he did in the position.
He further called on good people of Anambra to give his successor maximum support to excel and perform beyond expectation. He called his success as the erstwhile Fire Chief was down to the unflinching support the people of the state gave him.
“My prayer is that he will do much much better than I did. May God give him the wisdom and strength to pilot the affairs of Anambra State Fire Service, for Ndi Anambra,” Agbili said.
Engr. Agbili came into office in December 15, 2017, as the first to have bear the ranks of Fire Chief and Director in the Anambra State Fire Service, since the history of its creation.
