FUTA GETS FIRST FEMALE PROFESSOR OF MECHANICAL ENGINERING, SECOND IN NIGERIA

Engr Mrs Chrsitianah Olakitan Ijagbemi has just been promoted to the full professorial cadre in the Faculty of Engineering of the Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure, Ondo State.

Engr Ijagbemi is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a 2021 co-opted Council member of the Society.

This professorial position makes her the First Female Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, FUTA and the 2nd Female in the entire Country.

She was a first female Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE) Akure Chapter, a former Chairman of the Akure Chapter of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) & a past Chairman of Akure Branch of the NSE.

Congratulations to Engr Prof C.O. Ijagbemi, FNSE. We extol the name of the LORD for this elevation.
