Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance activities across construction sites, equipment, facilities, and machinery.
The role ensures optimal performance, safety compliance, cost efficiency, and minimal downtime of assets.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and extensive experience in construction maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for construction equipment, plants, and facilities
Oversee maintenance of heavy-duty machinery, vehicles, tools, and site infrastructure
Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and external contractors
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all sites
Diagnose equipment faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime
Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and inventory of spare parts
Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to support project timelines
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend replacements or upgrades when necessary
Ensure all equipment and facilities meet regulatory and operational standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 10 years’ proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Engineer in a construction company
Strong knowledge of construction machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical maintenance
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within construction environments
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites
Proficiency in maintenance planning tools and reporting systems.
