Engr. Edward Oluwaseun Ige’s educational journey began at St. Mary/Nicholas R.C.M Primary School, Otan-Ayegbaju, Osun State, followed by secondary education at St. Thomas Grammar School, Osun State.

He is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2010 and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2018.

A distinguished civil engineer with over 15 years of hands-on experience, Engr. Ige is known for his precision in project planning, strategic resource management, and innovative problem-solving. His expertise encompasses contract management, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, and site supervision.

Engr. Ige’s career commenced in 2012 with Hassuni Engineering Services, Apo, where he oversaw the construction of the DSS junior staff quarters, Karu, and a massive gravity retaining wall. He then joined the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) as a project staff member on the Abuja Rail Mass Transit project, working as a Field Engineer until 2014.

His exceptional performance led to a position at China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) as a Construction Cost Analyst and Estimator. There, he made significant contributions to heavy and industrial construction projects, particularly within the rail sector, including the Abuja Rail Mass Transit project.

Engr. Ige is the CEO of Headsung Engineering International Ltd., an emerging construction firm specializing in high-rise residential, commercial, and institutional projects. The company also provides consultancy services and engages in the mass production of construction bricks and interlocking materials.

He has successfully led major construction projects, including the St. Martin School, Abuja multi-storey building; Mic Sam Estate Development (Gwagwada & Osogbo, 2021-2023); and five blocks of 109-bedroom storey buildings (Ago-woye, Ogun State, and Oshodi, Lagos State, 2018-2020), consistently delivering high-value projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Headsung Engineering Int’l Ltd. has served as a consulting partner to Divention Holding Ltd. and Cahcet Nig. Ltd., among others, ensuring the successful execution of major projects in compliance with technical specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Engr. Ige is a registered Civil Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN) and a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE). Within the NSE, he has served in various capacities at the national level, including as a founding member and Protem Secretary of the NSE GIRI Branch, Abuja, as well as past Publicity Secretary and General Secretary.

Engr. Ige is adept at leveraging advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), in engineering-driven environments and other advanced tools to optimize project outcomes. His dedication to lifelong learning and ethical practice underscores his commitment to advancing the engineering profession and contributing to nation-building.

Outside of his professional life, he enjoys traveling, reading, and sports. He is happily married with children.
