The Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers, NIPetE under the leadership of Engr. Prisca Kanebi, is set for the 2023 International Conference and Annual General Meetings, AGM of the Institution. The general public and members are therefore invited.
The event is scheduled to hold in Abuja between 25th and 26th of October 2023 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The theme of 2023 International Conference is: “Research, Technology and Innovation: Imperative for Energy Transition.”
Various high level personalities and industry experts are expected at the event which will be chaired by the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE, Engr. TSG Wudil,
Industry leaders and regulators have been penciled down as keynote and panel speakers at the the international conference of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers (NIPetE) taking place in Abuja.
Other activities are also outlined for the event to make it memorable for all attendees.
NiPetE is the body of Petroleum Engineers and scientists and other professionals in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.
The First National Chairman of the Division was Engr. Adeyemi Wilson of ExxonMobil (1995 to 2003) follwed by Engr Andy Olotu of Schlumberger Oil Services who served as National Chairman of the between 2003 and 2009. After his tenure, Engr. Anthony Abolarin of TOTAL E&P became the 3rd National Chairman of the Division and served between (2009 and 2017. Engr Abolarin handed over to Engr. Chief. Vitus Ibeh of Nigerian Agip Oil Headquarters who became the 4th National Chairman of the Division (2017 to 2022). The current National chairman is Engr Mrs Prisca Kanebi, the first woman to head the Institution.
