Daikin, leading manufacturer of air conditioning and other electrical products, Panaserv, its authorised distributor in Nigeria, and Arnergy, a renewable energy company, have announced a partnership to advance renewable energy in Nigeria.
Mr Vineeth Vijayan, Country Manager, Daikin Middle East and Africa, on Friday, at the signing ceremony said the move was to promote its environmentally sustainable HVAC solutions across Nigeria.
Vijayan said that the partnership would empower Nigerians through sustainable solar solutions.
This, he explained, would be done by providing state-of-the-art Daikin solutions to residential and commercial customers to deliver better air, reduce health hazards, and reduce pressures on the national grid across Nigeria.
”Daikin has continued to invest in Nigeria and for the people of Nigeria.
“This partnership addresses the country’s energy needs by delivering reliable electricity to power various quality lifestyle appliances including air conditioning, and commercial equipment,” he said.
Mrs Omobola Omofaiye, Chief Commercial Officer, Arnergy Solar Ltd., expressed optimism that the partnership with Panaserv and Diakin would result in giant strides in innovative renewable energy and energy efficiency in Nigeria and other African markets.
Mr Suraj Rupani, Director, Panaserv Nigeria Ltd., noted that the Nigerian consumer was highly sophisticated when it came to new technology combined with a more environmentally friendly refrigerant.
Rupani said that the Daikin brand new series of air conditioners which was of high quality was a high win for Nigerian consumers as it would bring more effective cooling and lower running costs.
He stated that the need to partner with Arnergy was to address the energy needs and deliver reliable electricity to power various appliance, air conditioning and commercial equipment.
“This has already been tested with GTKL-TV1 series air conditioners which boast of reliability and unparalleled quality that the Nigerian consumer has come to expect from Daikin products.
“It incorporates functionality that is beneficial given the unique requirements of Nigeria,” he said. (NAN)
