Salisu Galda breaks 18-year record at Unimaid, graduates with first-class in Radiography

Nasiru Salisu Galda broke a record in the Radiography department of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) by being the first person to graduate with a first-class in over 18 years of the department’s existence.

The University of Maiduguri inducted graduands from paramedical courses in its 10th combined ceremony. The event was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Aliyu Shugaba.

During the occasion, Professor Shugaba presented Galda with an award of excellence in the department of medical radiography for the 2019/2020 academic session.

The award was made available by the Register, Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).

The VC also offered Galda and other first-class graduates of the university automatic employment in different departments.

Speaking during the event, Salisu Galda expressed appreciation to the management of the institution and to his parents for their continuous support and encouragement.

The award ceremony was witnessed by friends and family of the recipient, his parents Mr and Mrs Salisu Abubakar Galda who said they are immensely proud of their son’s achievements, they further appreciated the VC and RRBN for the kind gesture.
