The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ikeja Branch was paid a courtesy visit to Mayor, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh recently as part of its community engineering initiatives.
The Branch Chairman, Engr. (Mrs) Akingbegbohun who led the Branch on the working visit was impressed by works done by the LG with little resources.
“Our mission to your office is clear; we have heard of your efforts at providing social Infrastructures, so we come to see the works our fellow Engineer is doing. Now we have seen, and we cannot but pass a vote of confidence and acknowledge your audacious strides toward ensuring that Amuwo-Odofin is a model Local Government for others to emulate.” She said.
The Chairman in response thanked the delegation, highlighted his efforts and promised to continue to embark on infrastructural projects to the benefit of Local Government while being a good ambassador of the profession.
The Branch, announced its plans to conduct a one day training for artisans as part of its annual engineering week long programme.
The Vice Chairman, Hon. Idris Abubakar, Council Manager, Stephen Akitoye and the Secretary to the Local Government, Engr. Sei Ipinlaye were present to recieve the delegation.
