The Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) on Wednesday, 13th November, 2019 paid courtesy visit to the M.D/C.E.O Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) Chief Uche Nworah in his office at Awka.
Chairman of APWEN, Engr Maryjane Okoli on behalf of her members introduced the association as a non profit organization that fosters the growth and advancement of women in Engineering as well as encouraging the girl child to study engineering.
The M.D who was delighted to welcome the Engineers expressed his joy to witness a gathering of women engineers with a positive developmental mindset. He promised to extend his hand of partnership with the association and to always support every program geared towards the advancement of STEM among the students.
Furthermore, Chief Nworah, accompanied by the head of Engineering sector ABS, Engr Paul Okoye who is also a member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) rallied the Engineers on an industrial tour across the studio.
The Engineers were opportune to acquire the basic knowledge involved in transmission and broadcasting.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Engr Maryjane thanked the M.D for his kind reception and adventure of the studio despite his tight schedule. She prayed that God will continue to bless him and all his efforts to ensure a state of the art broadcasting station in Nigeria.
