On February 18,2019 I was asked an interesting question on our great platform for great minds by one of my mentors: Dr Charles Odijie who is a professional design engineer based in the U.K how I wrote 12 articles between July and December 2018″.

Question From Dr Charles Odijie:

For me ‘writing’ is the most difficult part of research; it’s so difficult. It’ll take me at least 1yr to put down anything about a topic, i.e., if I start researching about a topic today, it will take 12 months for me to write an article / findings on that topic. I’ll first have to gather materials, study them, send out questions to experts, attend lectures and seminars, look for trends, study more materials, pause for few weeks, get back to reading, second round of gathering materials… After this process, I’ll now feel comfortable to write something about it. @Athan Oparaji, between July and December of 2018, you wrote 9 articles on myengineers.com. How?? It really amazed me.

My Answer To Dr Charles Odijie:

I think the question would be better this way: “How I wrote 12 articles in 12 months in 2018” because it was a target I set forth which Isqil Najim is aware of it.

First, there are 3 important articles on Insulation, Fireproofing and Composites Technologies in my professional field which I call global articles because of the contents.

I had the opportunity to be trained/certified by Solartech International Ltd UAE, Jotun Middle East India and Africa, and IMG Composites Limited Aberdeen the foreign partners of Liquid Energy Global Services Ltd. My interaction with the expatriates: Mick Flaherty, the former Business Development Director at Wescott Industrial Services Ltd UK,Navin Shanmuganandam the former Regional Business Development Manager at Cape Plc and my relationship with the chairman of the world’s leading manufacturer of removable insulation covers certified by Lloyd’s Register, DNV GL etc which is MK Plantec Co,. Ltd in Korea with my other professional connections like Mahendra Kumar Rastogi, Former Vice President of Bharat Oman refinery and Glen Ray Bishop of SeaBis in Southern Australia and others in China the articles were successful.

The other articles were on leadership, motivation, success, patience etc.

The success of the articles was mostly as a result of personal life experience as they say experience is the best teacher.

I had been in dark clouds and at the end I discovered that there’s a bright side to the dark side.

I discovered that your sorrow is your effervescence as written in this powerful poem

Perhaps we all know that Rubi came from a stone and Rose came from a thorn. I am that buried and forgotten seed that becomes the seedling and still growing for a reason.

My article on emotional intelligence was as a result of emotional turbulence caused by thieves. It was as if I was shut off from the world but it turned out that I was inspired by the turbulence to write the great article.

Some of the motivational ones came by inspiration from above which I compressed into poems that later expanded into article. For example the one on leadership was expanded from my poem: The Cob of Greatness. I have more than a hundred poems to my name and some of these poems where expanded into articles like a gaseous fluid in a turbo expander.

In all, with all sincere sense of humility I can’t just do this alone without the gift within the palms of my gifted hands..

To crown it all, writing has been in me looking for a way to burst out until I met Isqil Najim, the Wizard of Kalamakato; who helped me,gave me a lift,a push I needed to burst it out for the benefit of mankind as written in his echo of his mind:” There are many, with wings…but cant fly. They are clamped to the earth by something, someone, anything, anyhow… Mistake them not for Cripples… So many passersby step on those wings, ignoring the pain inflicted on the people and the latent potential in the owners. A single lift, a gentle push by a visioner, is all they need and they will rise, stand, walk and fly…up beyond what was possibly imagined”….
