My appreciation to the state Governor the Office of the commissioner ministry of works, Directors and PPS office of the executive Governor Kano State Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for honouring our request to support us in achieving this memorable event.
We (NSE Kano) produced president African federation of Engineers who emerged competitively among peers and we look forward to produce more competent Nigeria to represents us at other international association.
To uphold these virtues NSE Kano is seeking the cooperation of the state Government to address issues affecting water flooding, waste management, fire incidence which gulfed several properties recently in the state.
3. To harness the best out of Nigerian engineers the NSE has identified a vacuum exist between the industry and academia by creating technical discussion to bridge the gap between the two through knowledge share, discussions and review of educational curriculum of the state.
NSE Kano have started this with Electrical department of Bayero University and MTN Nigeria where University lecturers were introduced into GSM architecture and equipment topology. Â Further arrangement is in the pipe line to engage industry professional take classes to expose industry requirement to undergraduate in Telecom and other sectors.

The trust and confidence bestowed on us is the building block to success, and we will continue to liaise with senior colleagues for mentorship through guided principle centered leadership approach for the development of this great nation and our state in particular.
The Nigeria Society of Engineers is calling on the state Government to create a facility engineer who must be NSE/COREN certified in addition to other professional experience to ensure periodic safety audit checks, and simulation of emergency controls of all Engineering facilities /installations  is done with a view to mitigate risk or any hazard in event of any emergency.
The state should create enabling environment through development of critical infrastructures in transportation, Housing, Health/sanitation pipe bone water.
c. Being energy efficient.
Under the leadership of the immediate past chairman the branch developed a position paper as part of its contribution to support the current administration of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
b. Through Talent management in collaboration with other stake holders in identifying potential future engineers in the community to give them the available support thorough coaching, mentoring, guidance to study engineers and higher degree levels
The Nigeria society of Engineers Kano Branch is also looking at ways to facilitate urban renewal by controlling slumps area through active collaboration with the state authorities and professional engineers with proving affordable engineering design and services drawings for all.
