The Committee of Deans of Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET) has said it is proud to associate with the massive transformation recorded in Osun State under the leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
CODET, which brings together all Deans of Engineering Faculties, also lauded the government for building one of the biggest Faculties of Engineering in Nigeria.
The group stated this during its courtesy call at the Government House, Oshogbo.
The governor told the group that the concern and investment of the administration on education, particularly at the elementary and high school level, is in recognition of the fact that education without character is not only inimical but also dangerous to the society.
Aregbesola averred that there is no substitute for a functional and qualitative basic education, which is guiding the education policy in the state.

He said his administration would not give up in its commitment to reviving the tradition of sound basic education and entrench it in the state, expressing appreciation to the Committee of Deans of Engineering for recognising the effort of the administration at using foundation education to develop the society.
