Time : 11.00am

Synopsis : Engineering is known to be male dominated field. People are still generally surprised to see women in engineering, it’s not uncommon to be asked a woman about why she decided to become an engineer in the first place – which is not a question that would typically be levied at male colleagues – it is a question borne out of curiosity, which in itself tells you that people still perceive it to be an unorthodox choice

For decades, to attract more women to the field, engineering educators have focused on curriculum reform (e.g., by promoting girls’ interest in math and science). While these efforts have brought in more women to study engineering, the problem is that many quit during and after school.

As a step towards curbing this, this program being the second of it kind is organized for the whole engineering students (both male and female) to bridge the gap of transiting from campus to the cooperate world.
