PRESS STATEMENT
The Centre for Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Engineering (CGRP), University of Port (UNIPORT) in conjunction with the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) and Africa Centre of Excellence in Oilfield Chemicals Research (ACE-CEFOR) is organizing its 6th Mid/Downstream Oil and Gas International Conference.
The Conference Theme is: “Innovations for Sustainable Optimal Operations of Existing Oil and Gas Assets in Nigeria”.
The date for the conference is Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st September, 2023.
The venue is the Bonny Auditorium, CGRP, Innovation Park, UNIPORT, Nigeria at 9am Prompt, daily.
The conference mode is Hybrid, meaning it is both in-person and online participation.
Vice Chancellor of UNIPORT, Professor Owunari Abraham Georgewill will deliver the welcome address. Keynote address on the topic “Oil and Gas industry Value Chain in Nigeria: Opportunities, Challenges and The Way Forward” as well as other technical presentation on selected papers on topical issues by industry leaders & students, Panel discussion, Exhibitions, Awards and a Communique.
The central planning committee has called for papers covering the Conference Sub-Themes:
a. Investment Opportunities for Small and Medium Scale Industries in the Sector
b. Product Pricing, Asset Integrity and Management
c. Digitization and Artificial Intelligence
d. Process Safety, Security, and Environmental Issues
e. Hydrogen and other Alternative Energy Sources
f. Local Content, Research and Development
