Engr. Taiwo Olashehu Issa, was born about five decades ago in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. He was begotten by the family of Alhaji and Alhaja Taiwo Hassan Muhammad, who both originated from Agoo Agbona and Agoke Oja-Iya provinces, in Asa Local government area of Kwara State, respectively.
He started his formal Education at Agbona LGEA School where he obtain his First School Leaving Certificate and proceeded to Government Secondary School, Alapa and Government Secondary School Malete. He later moved to Commercial Secondary School, Bakase, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.E) in 1993.
The Young Olashehu then proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin, where he obtained National Diploma (ND) Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, in 1997 and Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate, in Mechanical Engineering in year 2000, from the same Institution. He proceeded to the Federal University of Technology, Akure, where he was awarded the Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Mechanical Engineering, in 2007 and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, where he bagged the Degree of Master of Technology (M.Tech), in Mechanical Engineering (Thermo Fluid and Energy Study Option) in 2015. In 2021, Olashehu bagged a First Degree, (B.Eng) at Federal University of Oye, Oye-Ekiti, . He us currently pursing his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
Olashehu was employed by the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission in 1998, as an Assistant Work Superintendent (AWS), and has worked diligently in various offices across the years. He has supervised different Engineering projects in this provinces and the state at large which-with the grace of God-rose him up to the level of Head of Department & Director of Works, at the Local Government Service Commission, He is currently the Director of Works, kwara State College of Education (Technical), Lafiagi.
Engr.Taiwo Olashehu Issa is a registered Engineer at the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is Fellows of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE); fellow, Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE;, fellow, Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE); Fellow, Nigerian Society of Engineering Technicians (NISET); member, Nigerian Institute of Engineering Management (NIEM), and National Society of Black Engineering (NSBE), among others .
Giving to his effort to promote the academic excellence and share his expertis, he worked as a Part-Time Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, between 2008 and 2016.
He has served the profession in many capacities through different engineering bodies such as the Nigerian Society of Engineer (NSE), Council for the regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE). Among the positions are: Chairman NSE Ilorin branch (2022- date), Vice Chairman NSE Ilorin Branch (2020-2022), Chairman NSE Ilorin Branch Engineering Week, Dinner and Award Committee (2020-2022), Chairman NSE Ilorin Branch Welfare Committee (2020-2022), Chairman NSE Ilorin Branch Finance & General Purpose Committee (2020-2022), Member COREN Kwara State Technical Committee (2020 to date), Secretary Engineering Regulation and Monitoring (ERM), Kwara State (2015–2020), Chairman Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE) Ilorin Chapter (2017–2020), Treasurer NIMechE Ilorin Chapter (2012–2016), Member, NIMechE National Membership Committee (2019-2021), Member NIMechE National Investment and Property Committee (2022 to date) to mention a few.
Olashehu has written more than five (5) International Publications and attended several workshops, locally and internationally.
Engr. Taiwo Issa Olashehu is a trustworthy, religious, diligent, determined, dedicated and devoted Muslim who is happily married to two beautiful Wives and blessed with God fearing Children.
