Meet Bako Danladi Mohammed , the newly appointed Acting Executive Director for Niger State Vehicle Administration Agency

Recently  Was appointed as the Acting Executive Director for Niger State  Vehicle Administration Agency, NSMVAA. The Agency which was established in 2021 by the Administration of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is mandated to register Motor Vehicles, issue and renew Motor Vehicle Licenses as well as issue Road Worthiness Certificate among others.

According to the Governor, , “the Traffic Management Agency is to ensure general superintendence and management of the road and Waterway Traffic matters, deter and apprehend road traffic and Waterway offenders as well as establish and maintain traffic information and control center”.

So who the new Acting Executive Director, Dr M. D. Bako

Engr. Dr. Bako, Danladi Mohammed was born on the 22nd August, 1975 in Minna. He obtained National Diploma (ND) in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction in 1996. After obtaining an approval from the Niger State Civil Service Commission, he was trained as an Assistant Vehicle Inspection Officer between 1997 and 1999 and successively joined Niger State Civil Service as an Assistant Vehicle Inspection Officer on the 6th of November, 1999 which marks the beginning of his carrier in the service of Motor Vehicle Administration.

He later obtained B.Eng Mechanical Engineering with Second Class Honors (Upper Division) and subsequently, studied M.Eng and PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Specializing in Automobile and Power plant option.

He has hold several responsibilities in the service including Station Officer and Zonal Commander at various levels of his carrier. He has also served as head of several taskforce operations as well as member and secretary to Council Committees and Council Instituted Task Force Operations and, was many times the Agency’s overseeing Director when the retiring Executive Director was not nearby.

Dr. Bako, has until his appointment been the Assistant Director, heading Central Motor Registry and Inspections of the agency. He is a member of several local and International Professional bodies including Professional Registered Engineer with Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), The Chartered International Institute of Logistic and Transport (CILTINTL) and Chartered Institute for Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIOTA). He is also a Fellow of the Institute for Cooperate Administration (FCAI) of Nigeria, Institute for Disaster Management and Safety Science as well as being a Certified Public Governance and Ethics Ambassador to mention but few.

He has been a resource person to Minna Innovation Institute (MITI), Automotive N-Power Programmes, and Federal University of Technology, Minna as well as being an External Examiner to different institutions. He has participated in several community and special services, presented papers on several occasions and has likewise, attended several local and international conferences.

He has authored and co-authored many Articles and Publications in the field of Transport Administration and Mechanical Engineering. Engr. Dr. Bako, Danladi Mohammed has since been married and blessed with children and, he is today been appointed by Mr. Governor – Alh. Abubakar Sani Bello, as the Acting Executive Director for Niger State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (NSMVAA).
