    On the beautiful Wednesday of 9th March 1977, Oyediran Asimiyu Amobi was born in Lagos State to the Royal family of Oyelude of Oba Compound Bode-Osi in Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area of Osun State. He is the first child and the only son of Prince Abdul Wakeel Amofe Oyediran and Late Mrs. (Princess) Oyediran Muheebat Alari, who was an indigene of Ejigbo in Ejigbo Local Governement Area of Osun State.

    He attended Baptist Day School Oke-Odo in Iwo from 1983 to 1988/89 session. He had his secondary education at Community Grammar School Bode-Osi in Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area of Osun State between 1989 and 1994. He finally had his Senior Secondary School Certificate from Saint Anthony’s Catholic Grammar School in Iwo Osun State in 1996. He then proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Ede Osun State in 1996 where he had his National Diploma in Building and Quantity Surveying in 1998. He graduated with Bachelor of Science from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife in 2005.

    He partook in the one-year compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) as a teacher in Okija Grammar School, Okija Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State from February 2006 to February 2007. During the service year he taught Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Further Mathematics to students in Senior Secondary School 2 and 3.

    He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) and a Registered Engineer with COREN. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Agribusiness Management of Nigeria (IAMN).

    Engr. Oyediran Asimiyu Amobi FNICE is a very active politician since the beginning of this 4th republic. He was a member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) that metamorphosed to Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and later All Progressives Congress (APC). He was the Organizing Secretary of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Ward 08 (Bode-Osi) of Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area of Osun State from November 2010 to August 2013. He was also the Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the same Ward 08 (Bode-Osi) of Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area from August 2013 to October 2014.

    He was appointed, by the Government of the State of Osun, as a Member of Governing Council of Osun State College of Technology Esa-Oke, Osun State in June 2013 to November 2014, where he was a member of Tender Board of the Institution and the Chairman of Government negotiation team with the Unions of the Institution during the period. He was appointed as the Executive Secretary of Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area in the State of Osun in May 2017 to February 2018.

    He contested in the Parliamentary election that was held in the State of Osun in January 2018 and won as the Honourable Councilor representing Ward 08 of the Council. He later emerged, at the Parliament, as the Chairman of the Local Government. The capacity, in which, he served his people from February 2018 to February 2021. As the Chairman of Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area in Osun State, he worked assiduously with his colleagues and the Local Government staff to drive agricultural and infrastructural revolution of the council. The team he led was able demonstrate that Nigeria can rely on Agriculture not only as a profession but also as business that can sustain her economy and her citizens.

    When he got into the office in 2017, the record of the Local Government showed that the highest amount the Local Government had generated as revenue was twenty thousand Naira (N20,000) per month on the average. He saw opportunities in agriculture after they had reviewed the activities of the Local Government and invested heavily in it even when many did not believe in it. Few months later, the Local government started generating nothing less than one million five hundred thousand Naira (N1,500,000:00) per month from the agricultural activities alone. An effort that caught the attention of the Federal Government of Nigeria to Osun State on Agriculture.

    He has worked with companies/establishments, some of which are; Domart Investment Nigeria Limited (Project Manager), FAMGAB Nigeria Limited (Civil/Structural Engineer) and FEMMADE CONSULTANTS (Civil/Structural Engineer) et cetera. He is currently a Principal partner at AAOYEDIRAN & ASSOCIATES Engineering Ltd.
