NSE appeals to Delta State Government to implement enhanced entry level point for engineers

The immediate past chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE Warri branch has call on Delta State Government to implement the enhanced entry point for engineers in the state public service .

This was contained in the address of the immediate past chairman of NSE , Warri branch Engineer Godwin Onoriode Enibueta during the annual dinner / public lecture of the group in Warri on November 5 2022.

He recalled that the said enhanced entry point was recommended by the Federal Head of Service in 2018   and has been implemented by Lagos , Rivers, Cross Rivers and Akwa – Ibom states among others.

Also speaking at the event, Enibueta used the opportunity to highlight his tenure achievements in the last two years under his stewardship. He said that his administration top priority has been the Membership welfare. the Branch also recorded relocation of the Branch Secretariat to a new office that is comfortable for staffs and members. Others are, procurement essential office furniture and equipment for enhanced working of Staffs and Exco, Improved the Branch visibility through engagement in enlightenment programs and commitment to proffering solutions to problems that affects the people and government, Career Development and Mentorship Program for Youth Corps Engineering Graduates was initiated under his watch. More capacity development programmes among others.

He noted that his administrayion commenced the  construction work with the fencing of the Branch[‘s land at Edjeba but work was suspended due to some boundry issues and will soon re-commence. He hopes the next administration will build on these achievemnet and make the Branch bettter than they met it,

Focus on sustainability leadership…

The new Chairman of the branch, Engr Dr Sony Emeka Ali in his welcome address, stated among other things that , he would focus on sustainability leadership ” which is mindful of today’s relevance and equally mindful of the future ” he added.

The epoc making event featured a public lecture titled ” Revisiting Engineering Regulatory Models For African countries”

The Chairman of the occasion Engr. T.S Gidari Wudil FNSE represented by Vice President of the NSE Goodluck Ohwodo FNSE had earlier in his opening remarks lauded the Warri branch of NSE for it level of advancement and successful hosting of the event.

Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu FNSE was the Special Guest of Honour of event. High points of the events were the the swearing of the chairman of NSE Warri branch Engr Emeka Ali , presentation of meritorious awards to deserving individuals by the outgone chairman of NSE Warri branch Engineer Godwin Onoriode Enibueta as well as the induction of new members of the branch by the new chairman Engr. Dr. Sony Emeka Ali by the outgoing Chairman Engr. Godwin Onoriode Enibueta,
