The newly elected chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Kano branch, Engr. Ibrahim Usman Dederi has promised to take the body in the state to greater heights.
Delivering his inaugural speech on Friday in Kano, Dederi said his administration will focus on uplifting the welfare of engineers and providing support and opportunities for young engineers.
He said, “I want to assure all that my victory in this election is the victory for all. We are going to run an open and all inclusive administration that is typical of a professional society.
“We must live up to our expectations as the elected exco members of the branch in discharging our responsibilities in order to ensure that we keep flying even higher. Our election is an opportunity for adding value to the NSE’s ideals and engineering professional excellence.”
“We will engage the relevant stakeholders, specifically the Kano State Government through the office of the Head of Service Kano State House of assembly and other private entities that engage the services of engineers.”
