APWEN Ota 2nd Public Lecture to examine the Transformation of Digital Technology in Nigeria

…Set for first Science Competition

The Association of professional women Engineers of Nigerian APWEN Ota  Branch under the leadership of Engr Imhade Princess Okokpujie,  is all set for its second Public lecture coming up on Friday December 3rd 2021 at the BUPF International Conference Centre, Bells University of technology, Ota, Ogun State at 2pm.

The Dean of the School of Engineering, Prof. Ojo Sunday Fayomi will be joined by Engr Ayuba Samuel Uche as Speakers to examine the theme of the Lecture: “Engineering Research, Driving the Transformation of Digital Technology in Nigeria.”

..Initiates Science Competition, Scholarship for Girls

As part of the event outlined for the day, the Chapter is also organizing its first Science Competition for Girls. The competition aimed at driving more first in science to choose engineering as career of choice. Girls in various secondary school across the surrounding LG are targeted. The competition will hold between 10am and 12 noon at the same venue.

Others expected at the event are the chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ota, Engr Wale George Adeyemi, The Asset manager, Shell Nigeria gas, Ota, and the President, Association of Women Engineers of Nigeria, Engr Funmilola Ojelade, who will be chairing the event.
