FOUNDATION FOR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ( *ENGICOM* ) is pleased to announce the commencement of another part of its *#Techmentors series*, tagged: *”Voices of Young Professionals”*.

The event will be joined as the flagged off ceremony for her second Edition of FREE CAD Training, beginning with six week long *Solidworks Training*.

The event is scheduled as follows:

The theme of the Inaugural edition is *”The Many Possibilities in Design toward Career fulfillment”*

We have assembled a team of brilliant practicing Young and Senior engineers to share their experiences in the industry application of various software solutions.

The actual training will commence a week after the ceremony and will hold on Google Meet platform for the Training (once or twice a week for live demonstration) and WhatsApp is for follow up, questions and supports as well as assignments and other communications.

We encourage everyone to attend the flag Off Lecture including those who are not taking Solidworks Training.

Those who do not already have Solidworks software should use the opportunity to install on their system.

Tosin Opawole is a civil engineer with an interest in sustainable infrastructure development and structural engineering. He has an HND & BSc from the Polytechnic Ibadan & the University of Ibadan, respectively. Also, he is doing his MSc in sustainable civil engineering at Xian Jiatong-Liverpool University, Suzhou, China.

After his NYSC in 2010, he was opportune to be on the team that built the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge as QA/QC engineer. He left in 2012 and took an offer with Redgrey Associates as a structural engineer designing & supervising several buildings: PAU EDC building, Lagoon School Hospitality building, PAU student Centre, Owel-Linkso building, Gloworld office Ibadan and so on.

Currently, he works as a technical officer engineer with the largest civil engineering company in Nigeria at the Abuja Technical Division. The team is the first contact for any new project in the North & Central part of the country.

He is advocate of designing of structure from the first principles rather than using templates.

Yusuf Israel Jacob hails from Bauchi state and a graduate of mechanical engineering from the prestigious Federal University of Technology Minna.

He’s a mechanical Design Engineer of Military grade vehicles and Rockets.

He participated in the design and production of the first Mine Resistance Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle for the Nigerian military, development of the first bullet resistant glass that passed test standards, developed a solar powered vehicle at FUT Minna, produced a soft skin military patrol vehicle and a mobile sniper station for neutralizing enemy position from an elevated hide out position and recently the development of a Biogas plant in Jos plateau state Nigeria.

Ayomide attended the Federal University of Technology, Akure from 2014 -2019, where he got his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He currently leads Palmline Bioenery on projects and operational activities, focusing on establishing the largest palm kernel shell processing plant in Africa and exporting biomass abroad.
Ayomide is also an entrepreneur, founder and creative designer of Giltedge Solution (a design engineering start-up building solutions blueprints around problem that have not been solved and converting them to products and services and giving them traction to go around the world).
When not working or designing, Ayomide can be found watching movies or reading.

Engr. Chinachi Austin read mechanical and production engineering. He is currently rounding up a masters degree in the same course but specialised in energy and power. I reside in Enugu.
He teaches CAD and CAM in one of the Eastern universities. He renderd consultancy services and training in designs and also work remotely with some companies as a CAD engineer. He has worked in several manufacturing and research firms between 2014 to 2020 as CAD and product engineer.
