Energy: NSE Mowe Visits Pacific Energy Limited, Olorunsogo Gas Power Station;

As part of the efforts to have first hand assessment of the power situation in the country, the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Mowe Branch under the leadership of its Chairman; Engr. Martins Olusola Adesanoye led other members to Olorunsogo Power station, Papalanto Ogun State on a Technical Visit on 14th April, 2021.

The team was given a warm welcome at the Olorunsogo Power Station by Engr. Ola Ogunyemi and his team (Pacific Energy Limited), during the Technical visit.

The Technical visit was successful and fruitful as the team was taken round the Power Station and it availed them the opportunity to have a first-hand information on the technical operation of the Power Station which has a total installed generating capacity of 304MW(8Units by 38MW).

In addition to that, a brief meeting was held with the Technical staff of the Organisation (Pacific Energy Limited) which centered on how to improve personnel morale and productivity within the Organisation. Challenges and solutions to improving Power Capacity, Reliability, Availability and Power Grid efficiency were also discussed extensively during the meeting.

The highlight of the visit was when the Managing Director of the Power Station, Engr. Abubakar Ibrahim, MNSE was presented with an Award of Excellence for his contribution to the Engineering and National Development.

It was a team which included; Engr. Kole Afolami, Engr. Tayo Adedayo, Engr. (Mrs.) Seun Irewusi, Engr. Seyi Odunuga, Engr. Tosin Adeyelu, Engr. Oluwaleke Baale, Engr. Adefola Alowolodu, Engr. (Dr.) Thompson Ajoku, Mr. Sidi Emmanuel, Mr. Abiodun Ajaja and Mr. Adeyemi Oba.
