Following the recent appointment of the President of the NSE, Engr. Babagana Mohammed, into a Special Purpose Vehicle on the Presidential Power Initiative, the entity that would oversee the overall activities in relation to power projects, Ikeja Engineers have sent up a committee to provide

The SPV would now take care of the interest of the Federal Government in the discos where it has 40 percent stake and it will also be providing project management for the implementation of and serve as the key manager to ensure cohesion and seamless execution.

It is instructive to note that our President is the only head of a Professional Association on this panel and it is imperative for us all as members to work together with the President to ensure the success of the panel. This much the President has requested from members.

To this end, the EXCO has deemed it fit for the Branch to prepare a technical position paper as our contribution to support the work of the President on the panel.

    3) Engr. M. B. Odetokun, FNSE – Member
    4) Engr. Adegboyega Adeleye, FNSE – Member
    5) Engr. Olajide Kumapayi – Member
    6) Engr. Bunmi Daramola – Member
    7) Engr. Ayodele Sagoe – Member
    8) Engr. Atinuke Owolabi – Secretary
    9) Mr. Messiah Ameh – Asst. Secretary

The detailed terms of reference are as communicated to the members of the Committee but the Committee is primarily saddled with the responsibility of understudying the SPV’s tasks and reviewing the Presidential Power Initiative in order to prepare a position paper of technical propositions and advisories, which shall be submitted to the President.

Members are encouraged to send their contributions to the Committee via: technicalsecretary@nseikejabranch.org.ng
