In a keenly contested election held at the Ralph Alabi Engineering Centre Branch secretariat, Engr Olutosin Ogunmola has been elected the new chairman of NSE Ikeja Branch on Thursday. He will pilot the affairs of the branch in the next two years.
Also elected along with him are: Engr. Jenty, Faisat Adesola (Vice Chairman), Engr. Majonagbe, Bayo (General Secretary), Engr. Iyiola, Olaoye Joel (Treasurer), Engr. Owolabi, Atinuke Wuraola (technical Secretary), Engr. Ibrahim, Tajudeen Kolade (Financial Secretary), Engr. Sadiq, Iskeel A. (Assitant General Secretary), Engr. Adegboyega, Adeleye (Publicity Secretary).
Engr Ogunmola will be taking over from the Engr Funmilade Akingbagbohun whose tenure recorded many landmark achievements.
A consummate Industrial Maintenance Engineer & Project Manager, Ogunmola holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
He has accumulated over 18 years of high-flying industry experience and has held positions in Maintenance & Technical Service in Multi-nationals such as Peugeot Automobile, PZ Cussons & LafargeHolcim.
He has served on the Executive committees of at least four Engineering professional bodies local and international. He also served NSE Ikeja executive committee in various capacities.
In the past two years, he led the NSE Ikeja Branch’s Innovation & Creativity Fair Committee with the mandate of opening up engineering & technology innovators towards scaling up their homegrown engineering and technology ideas, projects and solutions that address national challenges.
A registered Engineer with COREN and a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, he is building his agenda around the mantra of #TakingEngineeringFurther, serving the professional and social welfare needs of our members and building on the foundation laid by Ikeja founding fathers and past leaders.
