Winners emerge at the Competitions organised for Secondary and University Students

The future of any society depends on the way they prepare their younger generation. this also applies to the professional bodies. For engineering, we need our younger engineers to be prepared to face the dynamic and changing nature of the technology evolution while also working towards helping them adapt to the presence. It is for this reason that Nigerian Society of Engineers under our president Engr Babagana Mohammed, as part of the activities lined up during his tenure, earmarked activities and programmes to support young engineers development. One of this is NUESA Summit whose first edition was organised at a week long event last week.

A part of the Efforts towards encouraging intellectual stimulation among the students and promote healthy competition, in both secondary schools and tertiary schools level, the first Edition of NUESA Summit also organised Quiz Competition.

The ‘Season One’ of the Competition provided students the opportunity to showcase innovative ideas, designs that are focused on practical applications that improve the standard of living in the society.

Each contestant were given ten minutes to present their works to a panel of judges with a five-minute question and answer section between judges and the contestant. The judges look at feasibility of designs from economic, non-proliferation, and overall positive impact standpoints.
