Babagana Mohammed
Engr. Babagana Mohammed is a detribalised Nigerian and a born leader who hails from Maiduguri, Borno State.

He had his academic educations at Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri where he obtained his National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and was offered employment by Chad Basin Development Authority as Technical Officer; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maiduguri and eventually graduated in 1992.

He moved to NNPC/NETCO in the year of 2002 as Senior Engineer (Piping) and has participated in many design projects in the Oil and Gas Sector amongst which are – NLNG Train 6, Agbami FPSO, Bonga FPSO, MOBIL EAP Project, MOBIL MIPS Project, CNL Produced Water Disposal Project, NNPC Refineries Rehabilitation Project, NNPC Refineries Technical Audit etc. He has attended many specialized courses home and abroad on Stress Analysis, Piping and Plant Layout Design, Project Management etc. and held many positions of increasing responsibilities from Design Engineer to Project Lead Engineer.

He was a founding member of NSE Victoria Island Branch and later its Chairman. He served for three (3) consecutive times as Vice President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

It was during his time as Vice President (Professional Development) that the Examination Syllabus was officially released for use by prospective members and the following numbers of Drafts Codes & Standard are collated and ready to go for stakeholders/presentation.

He has won many awards in his career among which are: The Borno State Governor’s Award for the BEST STUDENT in Agriculturein 1981; Lagos Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers Award for Meritorious Service to the Society and Humanity 2011, 2013 and 2017; The Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers Special Award for Meritorious Service to the Society 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016; The Nigerian Society of Engineers Special Award for service from Lagos, Zaria, Apapa, Katsina, Damaturu, Egbin, Enugu, Onitsha, Owerri, Victoria Island, Yola, Kaduna, Aba, Ibadan etc.

He has served the Nigerian Society of Engineers and its Divisions in many capacities over the years. ENGR. TASIU SAAD GIDARI-WUDIL (ENGR. WUDIL), FNSE, SMIEEE, MNIM

Meet the New elected National Executive Members of NSE for 2010 Calendar YearEngr. TasiuSaadGidari –Wudil (Engr. Wudil), FNSE, SMIEEE was born at Wudil, in Kano State. His early educational career saw him through the Wudil Central Primary School, Government Technical College, Wudil, Science Secondary School Dawakin Kudu. He later got admission into the Federal University of Technology (now ATBU), Bauchi to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1985. Engr. Wudil holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (Power & Machines) and Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (Power & Machines) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

Engr. Gidari-Wudil worked with the Kano State Science and Technical Schools Management Board as Electrical Instructor at the Government Technical College, Wudil. He also served as Engineer 1 (Electrical) at the Ministry of Education, Kano. He got a job with the Bayero University Computer Centre as Computer Maintenance Engineer but later joined the defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA). Engr. Gidari-Wudil is now an Assistant General Manager with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Engr. T. S. G-Wudil is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a Senior Member, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), New York, USA, Pioneer Chair of the Power & Energy Society, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Nigeria Chapter, Member Nigerian Institute of Management, and a Professional Member, American Society of Safety Engineers, ASSE. Engr. Gidari-Wudil was registered with COREN in 2001 and is the first Nigerian Engineer to be Certified Regulatory Specialist. He is also Certified Public Private Partnership Specialist both from Institute of Public Private Partnership (IP3) Washington DC.

Engr. Gidari-Wudil is a true NSE man with passion for the development of young engineers, and protection of the dignity of the Nigerian engineer. He has served at various levels in Jos, Bauchi and Maitama Branches. He served in various boards and committees at the NSE National level. He has been on COREN and NBTE accreditation.

He superintends the Engineering Bureau Service Department and Board (Engineering Manpower Bureau, Cost Indices and Infrastructural Score Card Committee, Accreditation Committee). He was the pivot of the implementation of the Computer Based Test for NSE corporate examination. He also championed the creation of the Energy Audit Study Group. The EBS Board under his leadership was able to get Council approval to introduce the Engineering Product Endorsement Scheme.

Engr. Aishatu A. Umar is currently working with Federal Housing Authority as Chief Civil Engineer. Over the years, she has been involved in the supervision of civil infrastructures and building structures in Gwarimpa II, Lugbe, FHA Estate, and presently Apo Site, Abuja.

Meet the New elected National Executive Members of NSE for 2010 Calendar YearCOREN registered Civil Engineer. he is the Head of Project Monitoring and Evaluation of the Federal Housing Authority, Abuja. Before now he was the Special Assistant (Technical) to the MD/CEO, Resident Engineer FHA paradise Hills Estate Apo/Guzape, Abuja. He was also involved in the design and supervision of civil/structural works of FHA Gwarinpa II Estate, Abuja. He is also a member of the design and vetting team among other assignments related to Civil and Structural Engineering.
He became a corporate member of the NSE in 2003 and Fellow of the Society in 2013 with registration number 13836 and registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in 2004.He is a registered member of Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (MNICE), Society for the Construction Industry Arbitrators (Micarb) and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administrators (FCAI)

He is the chairman of NSE Abuja Branch and has also served as the Chairman of Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, Abuja Chapter among others notable positions he has held including National Committees at NSE Headquarters. he has won many awards as a result of his hard works.

3. Engr. Ibitoye Felix Adeniran, FNSE

Ibitoye Adeniran Kilomodemo, a Royal Prince from Osun State, who is popularly known and called KILOMODEMO or KLM” is the immediate past Chairman NSE Osogbo Branch. He is the Managing Partner, IBI Babatunde Company Nigeria Limited, Executive Director, Royal Synergy Associates Limited and the Vice President, Board of Covenant Helpers Foundation. He holdsMaster in Public Administration at Ladoke Akintola University, LAUTECH, Ogbomosho, Oyo State and Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ondo State University (Now Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti). He has worked in various capacities early in his carreer at companies such as, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Warri a
Engr. Kilomodemo has presented some technical and professional papers and attended many local and international Conferences within and outside the Country. He is a Fellow, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), Automotive Engineers Institute (AutoEl) and registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He has served the engineering in many capacities meritoriously and given various awards in the course of his services. Under his watch, he led the NSE Osogbo Branch to become the best Branch among the over 60 Branches of the NSE and also 2nd in 2016.

1. Engr. Adediran Halimat Sole C., MNSE

Meet the New elected National Executive Members of NSE for 2010 Calendar YearEngr. Mrs. Halimat Adediran, is a Mechanical Engineer and currently the Regional Manager (North CFAO Equipment. A product of Lagos State University and Ladoke Akintola Universty of Technology, she has worked with organisations such as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Sofitam Nig. Ltd (a subsidiary of CFAO Nig. Ltd) before joining the CFAO. She is also a National Executive Member of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

She was responsible for the development, growth and promoting the organiztion in the downstream Oil and Gas sector for the entire Northern Region and ensured a seamless administration of all engineering operations in the northern part of the country and secured a good market share for the TOPTECH brand of fuel dispensing pumps as its now one of the top ranking brands servicing the downstream sector in the country today.
Engr. Mrs. Halimat Adediran is happily married and blessed with lovely kids. She speaks Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba languages fluently. Her hubbies includes travelling and listening to news. She has won awards at local and national level from both the Nigerian Society of Engineers and Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers and many other organisations.

2.ENGR. PROF. ABDULRAHIM ABDULBAQI TOYIN FNSE, FNIMechE, FAutoEI, FIPMA, MASME, MNIProcE, MNIM.

Prof. Abdulrahim holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Ilorin, M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Ibadan, MBA in Management from University of Maiduguri, Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with option in Energy Engineering from Bayero University Kano. He also holds a PGD in Education , Certificate in Computer and B.A. in Islamic Studies at First Class Level from University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. He is currently working on two Dissertations after successful completion of all necessary course works: one is leading to the award of M.Ed., Educational Administration and Planning with the National Open University of Nigeria, and the second leading to the award of M.A. in Islamic Studies with the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria.

He began his working career in 1991 with the Ministry of Works and Housing, Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria as a Graduate Engineer during the one year compulsory NYSC programme. He joined the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission, Nigeria in 1992 where he served as a Mathematics and Physics Teacher. He left this appointment to work with Bhojwani Brothers Nigeria Ltd., Ikoyi, Lagos as an Auto Sales Rep. Cum Management Trainee in 1993 and later worked with the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Nigeria as a Mechanical Engineer where he held various technical and managerial positions in its headquarters then in Lagos as well as in Oyo, Zamfara and Borno States field headquarters from 1993 to 2000.

Engr. Prof. Abdulrahim joined the service of the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria in 1999 as Visiting Assistant Lecturer which was later confirmed to the position of Lecturer II in the year 2000. He rose to the rank of Professor of Mechanical Engineering (Energy and Thermo-fluid) in 2012 haven enjoined accelerated promotions from the rank of Senior Lecturer to Reader as well as from the rank of a Reader to Professor.

Engr. Prof. Abdulrahim is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and a Fellow of The Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow of Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FNIMechE), Fellow of Automotive and Locomotive Engineers’ Institute (FAutoEI) and Fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (FIPMA). In addition, He is also a Member of Nigerian Institute of Procurement Engineers (MNIProcE), Member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (MASME), and Member of Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM).

Engr. Prof. AbdulrahimAbdulbaqiToyin has served as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering a number of times in recent past and Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. He was a Visiting Associate Professor at University of Ilorin and currently an Adjunct Professor with the same University. In the past, He has served the Ogbondoroko Students Union as Assistant Public Relation Officer, Public Relation Officer, Assistant Secretary, Secretary and Vice Chairman over the years. He also served as the President of Asa Students Union, University of Ilorin Chapter from 1988 to 1991. He is currently serving as student adviser and patron to students’ associations at the University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri, Nigeria.

Engr. Prof. Abdulrahim has served as resource person and member of accreditation team as well as verification team of Engineering Programmes in Nigeria Universities for both COREN and NUC. He is also serving as resource person for NSE Mandatory Continuing Professional Education (MCPE) for prospective Corporate Members, and has served as Associate examiner for Mechanical Engineering NSE corporate examination and interview, and participated in NSE central marking of Corporate Examination. He has also served in numerous Society positions including member of NSE Bureau of Public Procurement from 2008 to 2009, member of NSE Programme and Publicity Committee from 2010 to 2011 and Assistant General Secretary of the NSE Maiduguri Branch from 2013 to 2015. He is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of NSE Maiduguri Branch for the second term (2015 to date), a member of Engineering Collaboration Committee from 2016 to 2017 and Chairman of Career Development Committee from 2016 to 2017 for the Branch. He is currently a member of the Engineering Codes and Standard Committee at the NSE Headquarters. 3. Engr Igwegbe Nnenna Chinyere, MNSE.

Chinyere Nnenna Igwegbe is a product of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where she bagged her Bachelors in Engineering from the department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering where she made history as the first female Class Representative in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Department and the entire Engineering Faculty. She also holds Masters in Business Administration from Metropolitan University London, UK

She is presently the Principal Partner of Krumberg Engineering Limited and Board Member, Benedict Ekejiuba Foundation, an NGO that caters for children and old people. Engr. Chinyere Nnenna Igwegbe was in charge of the finance department of Valenz Holdings Limited, Abuja office, overseeing the Project Financing and Monitoring of all the projects handled by the company. She has worked in various capacities such as Dual Engineering Services Limited where she became the Safety Officer on all the projects handled by the company, Cross River Basin Development Agency, Calabar, . She moved to Abuja 2005, where she joined Valenz Holdings Limited, a company involved in Procurement, Construction and Consultancy in the Power / Energy Sector.

She is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a registered by COREN. She is an active member of NSE Abuja branch and also some of the divisions of NSE including APWEN and has contributed immensely and selflessly as this can be deduced from her activities as shown below:

4. Engr Haruna Rabiu

Meet the New elected National Executive Members of NSE for 2010 Calendar YearBorn on the 18th June 1969 to the Family of late Alhaji Haru Batir and late Hadiza Haruna both From Garki Kofar Kudu, Garki Local Government Jigawa state.

He started School at Kuka Primary School Kano in 1976, passed out in 1981 He was promoted as the best Pupil to join class -6 then to take common entrance examination.

Attended Government Secondary School Gwammaja II Kano from 1981-1986 before proceeding to College of Arts & Science CAS Kano to study for IJMB A-Level examination in 1988. Finished with cumulative 10 Points in Pure Advance Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

He got admission into Bayero University Kano Faculty of Engineering then Faculty of Technology to study Electrical Engineering degree from 1988-1992. Graduated with second class upper division, (2:1)

Served the mandatory National Youth Service NYSC in Jos Plateau state during the year 1993




His first offer of appointment came in December 1993 to serve as Facility Manager with Nigerian Embassy Niamey Niger under His Excellency Ambassador Jafaru Koguna (mni) who recognized his Technical contributions during the construction of permanent Chancery and Residence in Electrical Engineering installations, CCTV, and Services designs

Vehicles fleet management, Technical equipment as well as other facilities remains under his care at both Embassy building of seven hecters, Residence and staff quarters

Promoted to Senior Manager in 1999 before voluntarily resigned in September 2001 to take another appointment immediately with Intercellular Nigerian Limited. Posted to Abuja Region as the pioneer field Support Engineer, with a job titled Senior Executive Engineer -1 in charge of Super cell Base station Radio Receiver deployment, operations and maintenance.

The Job introduced him to 2G-Telecommunication /wireless Network Technology which also paved way for him to secure a job with MTN Nigeria in October 2003 as Mechanical /Electrical Engineer, subsequently rose to Field Network Operation and Maintenance.

Promoted to Team Lead field Support Engineer in 2009, with eight Engineers in charge of MTN Nigeria Telecommunications infrastructure, numbered over 400 Telecommunication Towers across the North East sub region Adamawa, Borno Gombe and Yobe. Clustered in 40 sites average. Shared to a team of 10 sub-contractors, to ensure a minimum of 97.5% or a maximum of 99.9% Network Availability as the hourly keep performance index.

In April 2014 MTN Nigeria outsourced Field operation to Huawei Technologies where he moved with same Job Profile and remuneration package, 4 Months later, He joined I.H.S Towers as Regional Project Manager in charge of Passive Telecommunication Infrastructure till date.

Travelled to South Africa, Zambia USA, Germany, Italy Dubai, and Netherland several other countries in Africa to attend Trainings and professional developments.

5. Engr (Mrs). Mojirade Oloruntoba, MNSE, FNSChE

Meet the New elected National Executive Members of NSE for 2010 Calendar YearEngr Mrs Oloruntoba is the immediate Past Chairman, NSE, Ilesa Branch which she served between 2016 and 2018. Mojirade is currently a Chief Research and Development Officer at Prototype Engineering Development Institute (PEDI), Ilesa, one of the institutes under National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).

Engr. (Mrs.) OLORUNTOBA, Mojirade Monsurat was born in Ikeja, Lagos State. She had her primary and secondary education in Lagos State before proceeding to the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Chemical Engineering in 1998. She was posted to Cross River State for the one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) scheme. She had a stint with lecturing due to her flair for teaching before proceeding to University of Lagos for a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Chemical Engineering. She is at the edge of completing a doctor of philosophy (Ph.D) programme in Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos.

Engr Oloruntoba is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)
Fellow, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE), Member, Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Member, Society of Women Engineer (SWE), Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Member, Materials Society of Nigeria (MSN), and many more

She played a vital role in the formation of Ilesa Chapter of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) in 2012. The young Chapter under her leadership hosted a successful APWEN National Conference/AGM tagged “Virtue 2014”. She has served NSE body through various committees which she is either a member of a chair. This is aside the various services to Ilesa Branch of NSE as well as COREN’s Engineering Regulation and Monitory, Ilesa Inspectorate where she is a member.

She has attended several career enhancement courses and quite a number of workshops, seminars and conferences (both local and international), and also has to her credit, scholarly publications in reputable journals.

6. Engr. Ibrahim Aliyu

Aliyu Ibrahim MNSE was born on 15th June, 1965 in Dutsinma Town of Katsina State in the Northwestern part of Nigeria. He had his Primary and Secondary Education in Dutsinma Town. He proceeded to Katsina Polytechnic now Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic for his National Diploma and letter to the famous Kaduna Polytechnic for his Higher National Diploma. Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim proceeded to Bayero University Kano where he had both his Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering and Masters of Engineering in the year in the same B.U.K.. Engr. Aliyu is now a Director in the Katsina State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport Headquarters, Civil Department.

Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim started his carrier as Engineer from Kano Branch that registered him and letter to Katsina his home State. The branch was then at dormancy. A group of some young Engineers led by Engineer Ibrahim Abubakarrevive the branch to active life in 2014. Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim was elected the treasurer of the branch. The branch becomes vibrant with young Engineers and growing membership.

In 2016 Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim contested and was subsequently elected as the Branch Chairman. Under the stewardship of Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim the branch witnessed tremendous achievements as follows:

The Branch Secretariat was recovered from Government occupation. It was rehabilitated furnished and labelled as the Nigerian Society of Engineers Complex Katsina. It houses offices and conference hall, all fully furnished and air-conditioned with a standby generator.

We rose from the bottom of the group dynamics competition last year to the middle (34th position) and determined to be in the first ten this year 2018 God willing.

Relationship was rekindled with the State Government early this year 2018. Prior to this, there was no love lost between the Government and the Society.

Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim as a Chairman saw to the establishment of an examination in the State by a proof of membership drive. The first exam took place on 27th September, 2018. The Chairman travelled as far as Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi States for membership drive and invite candidates to his examination center. Rewardingly they all obliged.
