The goal, according to the convener, Zayyanu Tambari Yabo, is to provide a platform for ideas discussion, sharing and dissemination to a varied audience back at home who may not have access to specialist knowledge on various topical issues relevant to national development.”
The second edition of the colloquium seeks to explore the “actual role played by energy in its various variants and manifestations in the development process is still subject of debate and controversies, with researchers, analysts and experts pitched against one another.”
This, according to the organizer is a logical follow-up to the maiden Colloquium convened on 7th January 2017 in Sokoto, which focused on the role of culture and communication in national development.
The Symposium which will be chaired Mr. Osten Olorunsola, Nigeria Country Chairman, Energy Institute (United Kingdom) will host Dr. Habib Nuhu, Public Sector Energy Policy Specialist as keynote Speaker. It also has array of eminent personalities of distinguished accomplishment from diverse fields and experiences, billed to share their thoughts at the event. This Include the National Executive of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Chinyere Nnenna Igwegbe, Pincipal Lecturer and Head Policy and Transparency Division at Kaduna Polytechnics, Engr.
