Meet Rose Madaki, the first female chairman of NSE Victoria Island Branch

Engr Rose J. Madaki, is a top-notch engineer, who holds Master of Metallurgical Engineering ( University of Lagos); Master of Business Administration (MBA), (Bayero University Kano); Master of Mechanical Engineering, (Bayero University, Kano); and Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering, (Federal University of Technology, Yola ).

She is a Member of The Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), a fellow of Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE),member, Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN). She is registered with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Engr Rose has served The Nigeria Society of Engineers in various capacities from Branch to National. Her services to The Branch include: Treasurer (2009-2011); Financial Secretary (2011-2013); General Secretary (2013-2015); Vice Chairman (2015-2017); and Executive Branch Chairman (2017-2019) and many others including committees.. Her national services include: NSE National Vice Chairman (Codes and Standards); APWEN National Vice Chairman Business Entrepreneur Committee, Member Conference and Planning Committee 2015 ; and Member organizing committee  of 50th Anniversary of The Nigeria Society of engineers in Lagos Zone.

A conscientious professional, Engr Rose Madaki works with the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON). She is also a Lead Auditor in ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System); ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System); and ISO 18001: 2015 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System). In addition, she is an Assessor in ISO 17025 (Laboratory Accreditation). She is a member of several professional bodies, humanitarian organization and Associations.

A humble and amiable personality, friendly with deep empathy to all and a perfect team worker, who is ready to stand up for others, when she reflected on her tenure, she declared in the word of Sir Isaac Newton ‘if I can see further than others, is because I stood on the shoulders of giant’ thus giving the credit to her team, the elders and  corporate community.
