Confirmation of Ingenuity Examination (CIE) would follow after COREN. However; a student that was able to pass TIE can jump COREN and take the CIE on the fourth year of graduation.
The TIE (unsupervised presentation of an ingenious design) is taken on NYSC while the CIE (presentation of all ingenious field works with atleast one working model under the period covered) is taken after a paid 4year Tech A&D Programme.
