The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Orlu Branch, under the leadership of Engr Chidozie Okereke is all set to mark its first anniversary of its founding as it rolls out the drum to celebrate its achievement over the period. To commemorate the event, the Branch will be taking a holistic look at the Engineering regulation and monitoring.
The anniversary lecture, “The relevance of the engineering registration monitoring in national development” will be presented by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering President, COREN, Engr Kashim Ali, fnse mni.
The event will hold at Banquet Hall Orlu Recreation Club on Saturday 8th December 2018. The event is billed to commenced at 12.00 noon and will be chaired by the President of NSE, Engr Adekunle Mokuolu. Various dignitaries are expected to grace the event.
In addition, the Branch will officially inaugurate its Engineering Regulation and Monitoring Committee, ERM Orlu Inspectorate. There will also be induction ceremony for 40 new corporate members
Nigerian society of Engineers Orlu Branch was inspired by Engr Sir Chukwuemeka Celestine Ugoanyanwu,a former Chairman of NSE Owerri Branch who saw the need for the creation of additional two Branches of the NSE in Imo State to ease off already congested Owerri Branch and create more opportunities for Engineering graduates in these cities who have not been able to associate with the only Branch in Imo state
The Branch was approved by the Council of Nigerian Society Engineers under leadership of HRH Engr Otis Oliver Anyaeji, at her 417th Council meeting in Abuja on 11th day of May, 2017 as the 66th Branch of NSE.
