Civil engineering firms and allied firms will have the opportunity to exhibit their technology and equipment to engineers, contractors and the general public at the annual Civil Engineering Conference and Exhibition which opens tomorrow (Thursday), at the Engineers Centre, Roman Ridge, Accra.
The event, which is being held on the theme: “Regulating Civil Engineering Practice for effective delivery”, is designed to bring together products of some leading civil engineering manufacturers and suppliers, insurance companies, among other bodies, for exhibition.
The conference is expected to roll out discussions for regulating the civil engineering profession in Ghana.
The Chairman of the Civil Engineering Division of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE), Mr Joseph Oddei, said the event would be attended by council members, past presidents, civil engineers, members of GhIE, exhibitors and the general public.
Mr Henry Godfrey Ruping Kerali, the World Bank Country Director for Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone, will be the Special Guest of Honour.
Among companies that have confirmed their participation are Duraplast, Fotco Ventures, Geotech Systems and Ghana Re Insurance.
