As part of activities marking the epoch-making inauguration of NSE Orlu Branch, the NSE President, Engr. Otis Anyaeji, FNSE, FAEng paid a visit on the Osusu II of Okwu kingdom, HRH Chief Engr R.A. Obioha, FNSE (one of the 36 Foundation Members of NSE) on 29th July, 2017.
The Chairman of Owerri Branch of the NSE (mother branch of NSE Orlu Branch), Engr Dr Emeka Ugoanyanwu, MNSE profiled the invaluable strides of HRH Eze Obioha.
The high point of the visit was the conferment of the chieftaincy title of Okpuzu 1 (No.1 Engr of the land) on the NSE President by HRH Engr. Obioha, FNSE.
In his response, Mr. President expressed his overwhelming appreciation for the honour done him, and assured that the recognition would spur him to do more for the growth of engineering and the service of humanity.
It was indeed an auspicious occasion at the palace as the revered Royal Father graciously “donated” his Crown Prince to the Nigerian Society of Engineers. Everyone cheered.
The Society warmly welcomes the selfless services of Crown Prince Bede.
