NIMECHE appoints Chevron image maker, Femi Odumabo as patron

General Manager (Policy), Government and Public Affairs Department, Chevron Nigeria Limited, Engr. Femi Odumabo, has been appointed patron of Lagos State Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), a division of Nigeria Society of Engineers.

A 1982 graduate of Mechanical Engineering (First Class) from the University of Lagos, he also holds a Masters degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering. He joined Chevron in October 1984 as a Petroleum Engineer.

With over 24 years experience in Chevron Nigeria Limited, Odumabo has held several positions of increasing responsibilities in the Company including Special Project Engineer, Senior Reservoir Engineer, Area Petroleum Engineer, Onshore Operations Superintendent in Escravos, Manager- Production Operations Support, Manager-Commercial & Operations Support.

He worked in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1988-1990 and became registered as a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom in 1990. His vast experience covers design engineering, practical fieldwork, reservoir engineering, production operations, government relations, commercial, project and corporate affairs.

Odumabo belongs to several professional bodies, among them; the Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE); the Institute of Chartered Mechanical Engineers (UK), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (US); Fellow Institute of Chartered Administrators of Nigeria (FICAN).
