A Group, Foundation for Innovative Technology and Engineering for Community Development, EngiCom has led a delegation of young engineers on condolence visit to Engr Olatunji Ariyomo. who is also the current special adviser to Ondo state Gov Rotimi Akeredolu on Power..
The Group which includes some of the departmental heads from Federal University of Technology, Akure FUTA was led by Ayobami Ogundairo, arrived the venue at 4pm and were warmly received by Ariyomo. They signed condolence register in honour of late mother Madam Elizabeth Igbayiola Ariyo. after which they were given opportunity to address the gathering which also include immediate past chairman of NSE Akure Branch.
In their message, their spokesperson, Ayobami Ogundairo on behalf of Engicom, and his colleagues expressed their sympathy while also using the opportunity to praise the sacrifices of late Madam Ariyo, aged 90, for her services to the humanity during her lifetime.
“My heart was filled with sadness for your loss when I was informed about two days ago and was told by isqil Najim, I will lead this delegation on behalf of EngiCom (Foundation for Innovative Technology and Engineering for community development) – Mentored by (Tech)Mentors community.” He said.
” I remember when I lost my mum in 2016 at 200L, I know words are a poor comfort at a time like this. Because there is no one ever that can replace the position of a lovely mother.” He said.
“Madam Elizabeth gave a lot to this community in her life time. Aside being a community worker and a winner for souls, she raised children who are not just role models but also highly valuable to Ondo, Engineering and Nigeria as whole. A good tree never fail to produce a great fruit and this, your beloved mother have done though dint of hardwork and sow even more seeds that will be forever reaped by this community. You are one of its visible products and we are proud that she lived a life worth celebrating and not mourning.” He said.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank you for your fantastic many works for young engineers. I have heard about your many activities including scholarships to graduates as well as mentorship and valuable engineering contributions both privately and publicly. This is an inspiration to us. One we can say must have had origin in your upbringing. We thank you for being a fitting model and also look forward to more great works from you.
“On behalf of Engicom, and engineering departments and Futa students as a whole, duly represented by everyone of us here today, pls accept our deepest condolences and know that our thoughts are with you during this time sir. May good memories of Madam Elizabeth Ariyo strengthen you and family. Please accept our condolences sir”he concluded.
Engr Ariyomo thanked the delegates for coming as well as praised the activities of various Mentors at EngiCom’s tech mentors. He commended their efforts at developing Younger engineers and scientists through various activities. He appreciated this and described it as one of the most focused efforts targeted at addressing the challenge of capacity building in the country.
Further, he praised Isqil Najim and the team for his efforts at pulling such diverse team together and remarked that their work is one of the most underappreciated. He recalled a few moments where he had supervised the emergence of National Student Affiliates of NICE and others. And advised everyone to keep up the good works.
The young engineers delegate include Ogundairo Ayobami, Fasasi Semiu, Balogun Olawale, Amoo olaoluwa, Bolanle Oyenuga, Idris Babatunde.
Burial arrangements for Madam Elizabeth Igbayiola Ariyo has been fixed for February 29, 2020 and scheduled to hold at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Danjuma Area Isikan Akure, Ondo State.
