Reorganisation of the Osun State Water Corporation is our of our priorities

….Fountain University VC pays Courtesy Visit

The Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, Dr. Amidu Tadese Raheem has stated that one of the objectives of the Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola administration is the reorganisation of the Osun State Water Corporation (OSWC) as an agency hence the decision to engage all the stakeholders on the way forward.

The Commissioner stated this during a dialogue with the top management of Fountain University, Osogbo when they paid him a courtesy visit at the State Secretariat, Abere on Monday 12th November, 2019.

Dr. Raheem also disclosed that it was as a result of reorganisation in the ministry that ‘energy’ was added to the Ministry of Water Resources due to the pressure on the state government from the development partners.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University; Prof. Amidu Sanni said their mission to the Commissioner was to pray for and wish him success in his current assignment.

The Coordinating Director in the Ministry; Engr. Isaac Babalola also stated that the Ministry was getting geared to make the water corporation more effective.

He added that the aim is to concentrate water supply and distribution within Osogbo and Ede and he was sure more areas will be added as competence is established.

The entourage also paid visit to other ministries at teh secretariat where they revealed their intention to collaborate with the state

Accompanying the VC on the visit is Dr. Kike Wasilah Sallee; Registrar, Prof. Olatunbosun Lawal; Dean College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Mr. Sulaiman Balogun; representative of the Bursar, Engr. Abdussemiu Odenike; Director Works and Physical Planning and Mr. Ganiyu Oladunni Tajudeen; College of Natural and Applied Sciences.
