A National Vice President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Prince Adeniran Felix Ibitoye aka KLM (Kilomodemo) has admonished students of Enginering to develop themselves processionally as a way of making their impact felt in the society.

Addressing students during the NSE, Ado-Ekiti Branch 2019 Annual General Meeting, KLM stated that as an engineer, he made it because he saw personal develoment as a window for his impact to be felt in the society.
Speaking on the theme; engineering and technology for economic sustainability, he encouraged the students to embrace innovations as a way of looking into the nation’s problems and proffer engineering and technological solutions to them.
“I call upon the students to personally develop themselves in the area of creativity, innovation and passion instead of internet fraud and corruption.
“By the time you become start ups and proffer solutions to the myriads of problems besetting the country, you are sure to get backings from government agencies such as Bank of Industry.
“As a student I dedicated my time for social, service and paramilitary activities but I was also studious.
KLM also stated that as a former member representing Odo-Otin State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly between 2003 and 2007, he was instrumental in bringing technological innovations to his constituency.
“As a lawmaker, I was the Chairman of the Committee of Public Works and Transport.
“I developed ICT in my constituency and also empowered many youths”.
He explained that as a member of the Osun State House of Assembly, he invested his time and allowance on personally developing himself.
“I believe in action and personal development so as to be sustainable and it was this innovation that caught attention of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate past governor of the State of Osun and the incumbent governor, Mr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola who is today my direct boss.
“When I was appointed as a Senior Special Assistant in Engineering and Technical Matters, I was so busy developing people.
“My aim is to be a great entrepreneur whose impact would be felt across all the local government areas of the state and Nigeria as a whole”.
KLM noted that in Osun, Governor Gboyega Oyetola has hit the ground rolling with the many laudable projects he has embarked on.
He disclosed that the governor has set about revamping the education and health sector by the recent revitalisation of the nine general hospitals and 334 Primary Healthcare Centres, and hospital facilities in Ejigbo and Ifetedo.
“He has instituted the National Health Insurance Scheme to deliver affordable healthcare to workers while offering free health services to the vulnerable under the scheme”.
The governor he explained has promised to rebuild, remodel and carry out total rehabilitation of existing school buildings.

  1. One policy of urgent importance is that
“Any Technically-Tasking Job, That Requires Handwork and Specialized Skills or Trades to Execute, Must Be Channelled Through Ingeniers”
    and
“None Ingeniers Are Barred From Directly Assigning Jobs To Handworkers and Trade Skills, As This Was Responsible For The Current Technology Stagnation”
for rapid technological and economic development.
